The purpose of this document is to review information on the epidemiology of varicella, compare the effectiveness of one dose of varicella vaccine with two doses, and to consider a potential change to the current National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) recommendation for a one-dose childhood varicella vaccination program.
