National Immunization Awareness Month
National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM) is an annual event in August. This annual event serves to highlight the importance of immunizations throughout the lifespan.
The theme for 2024 is Protect your future. Get immunized!
Each week of NIAM features messaging for a specific population group:
- Week 1 – immunizations recommended during pregnancy
- Week 2 – immunization for children, adolescents, and young adults
- Week 3 – immunization for special populations, including people who are chronically ill or immune-compromised
- Week 4 – immunization for adults of all ages
Immunize Canada is pleased to collaborate with Vaccine Ambassadors (US) on this campaign. This web page features videos and social media images to share.
