Travelers

Before you travel outside North America, be sure you are protected from diseases that may not be common at home. It is important to ask about immunization many months before you travel, because some vaccines require boosters to be given months apart.

The Government of Canada has developed a booklet to help you protect your health while travelling or living abroad. It includes essential information on understanding travel health risks; taking preventive measures before, during and after your travel; coping with a health emergency abroad; and accessing consular services in a health emergency.
